Msida Arrows Badminton Club recently organised a fundraising activity in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund. The event formed part of the national initiative intended to raise money through sporting activities of various kinds that has developed over the years and which this year has been designated as Solidarjetà bl-Isports.
The event consisted of a 12-hour badminton marathon which took place at St Martin’s College, Swatar, in the form of a friendly competition between the club’s several members.
No distinction was made in age or playing standard of the participants. The event was not about winning or losing, but about having fun while raising funds for a noble cause.
Participants were required to donate a minimum of €5 per person and were encouraged to collect donations in advance from family members and friends.
While thanking its members, Msida Arrows expressed its satisfaction at the club’s enthusiastic participation, as well as at the generosity shown in raising funds.
