Warning: Some viewers might find some of the footage disturbing

A woman is seen clinging by her fingertips from a window ledge as she tries to escape from the gunmen at Paris's Bataclan nightclub in a dramatic video footage of the attack released hours ago.

Several terrified people are seen running for their lives as the rapid sound of  gunfire rattles in the background.

Several can be seen stumbling, collapsing on the floor outside, struck by bullets as they fled.

The footage was captured by a journalist for the French newspaper Le Monde. He was subsequently wounded when a bullet struck him in the left arm after he had abandoned the safety of his flat to go down to street level to help the injured.

More than 100 revellers died in the attack, in one of a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in the French capital.
