The Valletta Summit showcased Malta's ability to host an international event without disrupting daily life, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said.

Addressing the Malta Employers Association's 50th anniversary, Dr Muscat said the event was priceless as it gave Malta international exposure.

He said the government was committed to continue promoting the island and attracting investment, however, the island needed to be taken to the next infrastructural level.

Dr Muscat said he was a firm believer in Public Private Partnerships and realised this was the best way to make Malta into a six-star economic hub.

He said the government had already done this in the tourism sector by ring fencing a multi-million euro fund.

"I invite the private sector to work with us and I promise you will find cooperation," he said.
