The annual rate of inflation last month as measured by the Harmonised
Index of Consumer Prices stood at 1.6 per cent, the National Statistics Office said. It was 0.7 per cent a year earlier.

The largest upward impact on annual inflation was brought about by higher prices for vegetables, restaurant services and admission fees to cinemas and museums.

The main downward impact was mainly due to lower fuel prices and cheaper mobile phones.
