The epic romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding returns in March next year with a sequel, 13 years after the original film was released.
Universal Pictures has just released its trailer for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, which will focus on the teenage daughter of the Portokalos family.
Written by leading actress Nia Vardalos, the film stars John Stamos and John Corbett. Although filming only began this year, Vardalos stated in a 2009 interview that she had started writing the sequel to the original comedy.
Once again, the story of the Greek family is produced by Tom Hanks.
Toula (Vardalos) and Ian (Corbett) are now facing marital problems while having to deal with the wedding of Toula’s parents. Meanwhile, their daughter Paris tries to get away from her overprotective family.
The film will be in theatres March 25.
