We have almost endless sunshine in Malta. Instead of squandering money on property deals would it not be a good idea if the government instead invested in installing solar panels (where none exist) on all properties in use throughout the islands?

This would save a fortune and provide clean energy for all.

As for the never-ending car usage debate, installation of electric trams where viable and a push for the compulsory use of electric private vehicles (all) and business vehicles (where feasible) with a closing date of say 2025 should make Malta a pioneer in greenhouse gas emissions and an example of excellence worldwide.

We live in a small, sunny, beautiful place, let’s take advantage of the former two qualities so that we can hang on to the latter.
