Last March, Munchies moved from Golden Bay to Għadira Bay and continued its success, with the restaurant being fully booked almost every weekend at lunchtime and every evening even during the week. Munchies is located right over the sea. When sitting at the tables next to the large windows in winter, you can admire the sea while enjoying your meal in the cosy surroundings, enhanced with a newly installed fireplace. In summer you can relish the cool sea breeze.

The decor is modern with white walls, parquet flooring, dim lights and candles on each table. Outside is a turfed dining area and a separate restaurant downstairs complete with its own open plan kitchen.

Munchies has a vast and varied menu as well as weekend specials including appetizers, pasta, rice, pizza, salads, main courses, children’s menu, desserts, assorted wines and cocktails. Try the golden deep fried ravioli or the crunchy calamari rings as starters, the homemade pappardelle with stir-fried vegetables and succulent strips of rib-eye, the signature spicy lobster ravioli with a fat juicy shrimp balanced on each, or the fresh fish of the day, such as silver bream, from the chilled display counter. The signature dessert is large warm imqaret (date pastry) with cocoa-flavoured dough and a citrus ricotta filling served with scoops of velvety ice cream.
