Italy coach Antonio Conte has recalled Claudio Marchisio, Alessio Cerci and Stefano Okaka for the country’s upcoming friendlies against Belgium and Romania.

Juventus midfielder Marchisio and Milan winger Cerci have not featured for the Azzurri since March.

Okaka, who joined Belgian side Anderlecht from Sampdoria this summer, returns to the squad one year after making his Italy senior team debut against Albania.

The Italians, who qualified for Euro 2016 after finishing top of Group H ahead of Croatia, are without injured midfielders Daniele De Rossi, Marco Verratti and Andrea Pirlo.

All three players are sidelined through injury. The Azzurri take on Belgium in Brussels on Friday before hosting Romania at Bologna’s Stadio Dall’ Ara on November 17.

Sampdoria forward Eder, who is the current Serie A top scorer alongside Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain with nine goals apiece, has also been named in the squad.

Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian and Southampton’s Graziano Pelle are also in the 28-man roster named by the Azzurri coach.

Italy have lost just one game under Conte, a 1-0 defeat to Portugal in a friendly in June.
