DEMARCO. On November 4, JOSEPH, aged 85, passed away peacefully to eternal rest, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. GAMBIN HOLLAND. On October 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, GRACE, aged 83, passed away peacefully to eternal rest. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jeremy and his wife Lorraine, Rachel, Jonathan and his wife Anna, Naomi, Timmy and his wife Belinda; her grandchildren Ilona, Justin and Jeff, Axel, Jeannine, Chloe and Gerald, Jamie and Taran; her great-grandchildren Michelle, Jake, Ellie and Zach; her brother John Holland and his wife Margaret, her sisters-in-law Lina Gambin and Rose Holland, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, his children Tessie, Mary, Mario and his wife Catherine, his grandchildren Sylvana, Marisa and her children Zak and Luke, Henrik, his wife Judith and their children Jasmine and Noah, Joshua and Jessica, all his family and friends. VELLA. On November 4, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CHARLES (Is-Sir Tal-Iscouts) of Mosta, passed away peacefully at the age of 86, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. National Council of Women course
The National Council of Women is holding a six-week course titled Advancing in Society through Empowerment. Starting on Monday, it is open to anyone over 18. It will be held from Mondays to Thursdays between 9am and 12.30pm at the National Council of Women Centre. The course is free of charge and will be held in both Maltese and English. Bazaar and furniture sale
A bazaar and furniture sale is being held between Friday 13 and Sunday, November 15, at Sala Villa, Lija (Main Street Lija). All proceeds are in aid of the restoration of paintings by Cali’ found in the Lija parish church. Opening hours are between 9am and 7pm (Saturday closed from 1 and 4 pm).
