It was magnificent to listen to the youngpeople who stood up in Parliament and declared explicitly their position in favour of human life.

The Maltese Federation of Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco wishes to congratulate the young people who stood up and spoke out unequivocally in favour of the right to life in the recent debate at the Youth Parliament.

Their unambiguous position on the preservation of life is commendable and praise-worthy. It is a sign that Maltese young people still uphold the values of the protection of life from conception to our very last breath of life, whenever that may be.

These young people had the courage to speak out in favour of the vulnerable and voiceless children living in an embryo.

They expressed their concerns about egg and sperm donation and delivered a stern warning on surrogacy.

They condemned euthanasia as another form of killing however ‘sugar coated’ it may be presented to us.

It is encouraging to listen to young people who vociferously support life at all stages. Being pro-life is a strong belief which may not appear liberal but is liberating.

We wish to encourage everyone to pluck up the same courage shown by this group of young people and declare their position in favour of the preservation of life.

These young people are a fine example to us all.

In Parliament, they awakened the call to respect life.

Every human being, because of their intrinsic dignity, possesses the inalienable right to life.

This right is universal and belongs to every person by their very nature.

No court, legislator or state entity can take that away.
