An exhibition of botanical drawings by natural history expert, author and folklorist Guido Lanfranco of Maltese native and ornamental flora is on display at the University Library’s ground floor exhibition area until December 11.

The drawings are part of an extensive collection of nearly 600 watercolour drawings donated by Lanfranco to the University Library Archives and Special Collections Department.

The exhibition inauguration by pro-tector Alfred Vella and Australian High Commissioner Jane Lambert coincided with the formal presentation of the collection to the University Library. During the event Lanfranco was surrounded by his family and friends.

The exhibition may be viewed during the library opening hours. For enquiries e-mail the exhibition curator at mary.samut-tagliaferro@um.edu.mt.
