I would like to express my gratitude for the way the police in Victoria handled an incident that happened to me on the morning of October 7.
At about 9.30am I was shopping at Tiġrija Palazz in Victoria, looking for an umbrella. The sales lady showed me a few items and I decided to choose one. Three individuals then came into the shop, all of whom looked very suspicious, and I made the sales lady aware of the situation.
As I proceeded to pay for my purchase I put my wallet on the counter for a few seconds and one of the men suddenly grabbed it and ran into the street. The police were notified and took immediate action. They acted so professionally that by the end of the day two of the men were arrested and the third person who stole my wallet was arrested at his home and taken to court the next day.
I would like to appeal to all upright citizens to assist the police force in solving all types of crimes, so that we can keep our island safe.
Many thanks to all involved; Keep up the good work.
