Based on the concept of desirability, confidence and ease, Karen Millen’s autumn/winter collection has a touch of elegant bohemian style, with a nod to the 1970s.

The collection embodies unstudied elegance, played out through polished separates and modernist tailoring. The flowing lines of the 1970s are featured in the sleek Italian tweed waistcoat and precision-cut jumpsuit.

With their finely crafted embellishments and hand-drawn prints, dresses are styled with quiet glamour. Meanwhile, precision-cut coats and jackets are the hero pieces of the season. Crafted in butter-soft leather, shearling and boucle, these are clothes one wants to wear and treasure forever.

After dark dressing, rich prints, beautiful jacquards and sumptuous texture are in abundance. Both modern and feminine, the sculptural full dress embroidered with delicate scarlet and ivory flowers is the ultimate occasion wear piece. Opulent details also enhance separates: a khaki hued full skirt is the perfect canvas for a brocade print, while intricate lace adorns another key piece for the season – the blouse.

Cascading ruffles, surface decoration and beautiful drawn florals both elevate and enliven the winter wardrobe.

The collection can be viewed at Karen Millen, Old Theatre Street, Valletta.
