BAJADA. On October 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, DOUGLAS, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary Rose, his children Simone and her husband Mark, Christian and his wife Elaine, Jo-Ann, his beloved grandchildren Daniel, Max, Emma and Andrew, his brother Martin and his wife Anna, his sister Helen and her husband Joe, his mother-in-law Mimi Farrugia, his brother-in-law Frederick and his wife Margaret and nieces and nephews. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated on Saturday, October 31 at 9am at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GAMBIN HOLLAND. On October 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, GRACE, aged 83, passed away peacefully to eternal rest. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jeremy and his wife Lorraine, Rachel, Jonathan and his wife Anna, Naomi, Timmy and his wife Belinda; her grandchildren Ilona, Justin and Jeff, Axel, Jeannine, Chloe and Gerald, Jamie and Taran; her great-grandchildren Michelle, Jake, Ellie and Zac; her brother John Holland and his wife Margaret, her sister-in-law Lina Gambin, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral details will be announced in the coming days. May she rest in eternal peace.
LAURI. On October 28, at St Catherine’s Home, Attard, EDWIN, aged 78, suddenly passed away to eternal happiness. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved daughters Stephanie and her husband Anton Quintano, M’Christina and Alfred Farrugia, and his son Carmine and his wife Emanuela; his grandchildren Augusto, Desirée, Antoine, Francesca and Alessandro; his sisters Carmelina, Vivienne and Georgina; his in-laws, relatives and friends. A special thanks to the Dominican Sisters of St Catherine’s Attard. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2pm at Attard parish church, followed by interment at the Addolorata Cemetery. MALLIA. On October 27, at his residence in Marsascala, FRANK of Siġġiewi, aged 59, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Sandra, his children Mark, Karl and Annemarie, his sister Catherine, wife of Ġużeppi Vassallo, his brother Peter and Mary Rose, widow of his brother Edward. Also, his parents-in-law Rose and Emanuel Ellul, his brother-in-law Mario and his wife Christine, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9am for Marsascala parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment at Siġġiewi cemetery. VELLA. On October 28, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, DODDY of Vittoriosa (Birgu), aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Maria and her husband James Souness, her sister Amy and her husband Charles Cacciatolo, her brother-in-law Fr Anġeliku Vella, OP, all other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today at 8am for the Annunciation church of St Dominic’s Convent, Vittoriosa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
