Democracy and free speechcan never justify vilification. We must not succumb to the law of the jungle. Many are mixing warped arguments to justify blatant antagonism.

By repeating medieval arguments about a flat world or even Greek mythology, some are keen to ridicule religious beliefs. All religions must be respected. The fact that there are stupid fanatics and extremists who abuse of religions does not justify vilification. The battle, the war, must be against these “criminals”.

In a true democracy, if God can be vilified so therefore should everything else, including politicians and the agnostics themselves. There is no need to vilify God and religions. It is a sick mind that uses vilification and obscenity to justify its warped arguments.

Religions are being used as an excuse to justify the removal of censorship and the introduction of obscenities.

There is absolutely no relation between them. If anyone wants to legalise prostitution, introduce sex shops and pornography let them do so on their own merits. I plead with the government to evaluate the repercussions of amending the law on vilification.

Apart from imaginary and dubious freedom, what will this achieve in the long run? We must reduce friction not inflate it. Leave all religions alone.

There are always many topics that can be subject to sarcasm. Agnostics cannot comprehend the importance of the spirit over materialism.
