ARNETT. On October 20, HUGH, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Eve, his daughters Suzanne and her husband Martin, and Nikki, his grandchildren Michelle and James Cachia, his great-grandson Matthew, his sister Cecile and her husband Bill Pratt, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, October 28 at 9am for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CASSAR. On October 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES (ex-Labour Office employee), aged 76, widower of Mary, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Fabian, his daughters Stephanie and Jacqueline and her husband Michael; his granddaughers Anthea and Naiya; his brothers and sisters and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for San Ġwann parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CILIA. On October 25, at St James Hospital, Sliema, THELMA, aged 68, passed peacefully away after a short illness. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her daughters Christine and her partner Joe Pace, Nikky and her partner Edward Grech; her only sister Simone and her husband Michael Camilleri; her grandchildren, Andrew, Sophie, Alix and Nina; her nephew Christian and his wife Lida; her only cousin Marie Cabourdin and her partner George Debono, her children Marc and his wife Joanna, Sabine and her husband Neville Agius. The funeral cortège leaves St James Hospital, tomorrow, at 1.30pm for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St James Hospital for their very professional care.

MARSH. On October 21, at Gozo General Hospital, JIMMY, aged 60, passed away, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother Sina, his brothers and sisters Alan, Tony, Carol, Terry, Stuart and Andrew and their spouses and partners, his daughters Nancy and Rosie, his aunts, nephews and nieces other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday October 28 at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery church (rear entrance) at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at the same cemetery.

MICALLEF. On October 26, JOSEPH, went to meet the Risen Lord aged 91. Always loved and remembered by his wife Yvonne, his children Leo and his wife Ines, Peter and his wife Patricia, Catherine and her husband Joseph, Natalie and her husband Jean-Pierre, Lino husband of his late daughter Lilian, Mario husband of his late daughter Miriam, their respective families, his in-laws, their families, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at Santa Maria parish church, Attard tomorrow at 2pm followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SPITERI. On October 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES EMANUEL, aged 70, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his children Stephanie, Gordon and Brent, their mother Carmen, Maureen and her family, his sisters, their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday October 28 at 8.45am, for St Anne parish church, Marsascala, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

A Mass for the repose of the soul of STEVE RIZZO, on the third anniversary of his passing away, will be said tomorrow at 8.30am at St Rita Chapel, Paceville, St Julians. Sadly missed by his wife Denise, née Degiorgio, his children Michael and Nicholas, Andrew and Christina, his parents Joe and Mimi, his brothers and sister. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
