The first Bentley Bentayga SUV will belong to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She will be the first owner in the world of what is claimed to be the fastest SUV ever made.

Bentley has not confirmed what specification the Queen’s car will be, though she already has a State limousine that was specially built for her by Bentley that is painted in a unique shade of burgundy and has a 400bhp twin-turbo V8 engine. The Bentayga has a 600bhp W12 engine that sees the British SUV go from 0-62mph in four seconds.

The Queen is first in the queue for the 3,600 Bentaygas that will be produced in 2016, with prices starting from €220,000. However, the initial 500 Bentaygas will be First Edition models with a price tag of €315,000 and that’s before you add any extras such as a Breitling Tourbillon clock for €150,000.

There’s no word from the Royal household about whether or not the Queen will drive the car herself, but it is expected that the Bentley off-roader will be kept and used at the Queen’s Balmoral Estate in Scotland.
