• Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo will hold a charity sale today from 8am to 1pm at the football ground next to the main car park, Victoria. Sellers pay €10 per car space.

• Two by Two: Oops the Ark Has Gone (U) and A Royal Night Out (12A) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm and 8pm respectively.

• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital on Tuesday from 1 to 5pm.

• The Tenby Male Choir from Wales, UK, will give a free concert at St George’s Basilica on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

• A series of free Catholic formation talks for adults and adolescents will be given by members of the Neocatechumenal Way every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30pm at Good Shepherd Church, Victoria. Child minders will be available.

• MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will hold a prayer and catechesis meeting entitled Lejn Ġesù permezz ta’ Marija at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Victoria, on Thursday from 10 to 11am.

• The 14th edition of Festival Mediterreanea, which will run until December 6, includes the following events this week:

Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème will be performed at the Astra Theatre, Victoria, on Thursday and Saturday at 7.30pm;

On Friday at 8pm, a vocal recital entitled Contrasts, featuring soprano Arienne Gartey and pianist Julia Miller, will be held at Kempinski San Lawrenz Resort and Spa;

On Saturday at 10am, a free lecture by Dr Abraham Borg entitled ‘Scenes from Bohemian Life: Of dreams and false illusions’ will be held at the local council hall, Banca Giuratale, Victoria.

• The Catholic Action Movement will open its assembly on Saturday at 5.30pm at Xagħra Basilica, followed by Mass celebrated by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at 6.30pm.

•The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Savina Church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8pm, followed by Mass at midnight.
