Iż-Żgħożija – Ir-realtà attwali is the title of a conference to be held by the Mental Health Association Gozo on Friday from 8.30am to 1pm at Villa Fiorita, Marsalforn.

It will deal with current trends and issues related to youths such as eating disorders, self-harm, substance misuse and cyber bullying. Real life experiences will also be presented.

Speakers include Dr Anton Grech, chairman of the Health Ministry’s Psychiatry Department, psychologist Edward Curmi, and representatives from the Cyber Crime Unit and Oasi Foundation.

The conference is being held to mark the association’s fifth anni­versary, and will be held under the patronage of President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

Participation is against a €10 donation and includes a stand-up lunch. Transport from Mġarr harbour to the venue and back will be provided upon request.
