Mikela Fenech Pace’s new book, Stolen Childhood – Jacqueline’s True Story, is based on the real life experience of its protagonist Jacqueline.

What was meant to be a family holiday for Jacqueline, her husband and their four young girls, turns out to be the beginning of a nightmare. Split between Wales, Libya and Malta, the book recreates the heartaches, physical pain and family tragedies that Jacqueline experiences from her early teens. Jacqueline’s story, and the historic Libyan uprising and consequent revolution of 2011, are transmitted by the author through a rollercoaster of emotions; writing in the first person, as if Jacqueline herself were recounting the story, the writer captures all the drama surrounding the family.

Stolen Childhood – Jacqueline’s True Story is published by Kite Group and will be available as of October 30.
