The Maltese are becoming increasingly suspicious, showing hostility and discriminating against Libyans, according to a Libyan doctor residing in Malta.

Dr Mohammed Mufti, who has been connected with Malta for 30 years, was speaking during a phone link on Tuesday's edition of Times Talk which discussed whether the Libyans residing in Malta were a real or a perceived threat.

It follows a recent stabbing spree by a Libyan man in Paceville, which left seven people injured, including a fellow Libyan who claimed the attack was politically motivated.

Presented by Herman Grech and Mark Micallef, the guests were anthropologist and Libya expert Ranier Fsadni, Libyan human resources manager Sofia Sarkas, and Pawlu Cauchi who lived in Benghazi for 30 years.
