Two International Baccalaureat students at St Edward’s College, Cottonera, took part in Leader for a Day in Brussels. The initiative involves participants in European youth entrepreneurship programmes learning from leaders by shadowing them for a day. The all-expenses paid trip was organised by Junior Achievement Europe in collaboration with JA-YE Malta.

The students, Marcus Laffoucriere and Mert Gulen, who are second-year sixth formers at the college, were given the opportunity to take part in the event after they successfully sat for the Entrepreneurial Skills Pass exam, an international qualification endorsed by EU SMEs, large businesses and top education institutions.

Last year Laffoucriere and Gulen also took part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme along with six other students, during which they created and ran a business called Nutri Tree.
