ATTARD MONTALTO. On October 12, at Livelife Physical Rehabilitation Centre, Sliema, MADELEINE, née Stannard, aged 84, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves behind her loving children Nicholas and his wife Linda, Laurence and his wife Elizabeth, Bunty and her husband Anton, her much loved grandchildren and great-grandchild, her in-laws Paul and Lydia, Austin and Marlene and Marie, widow of Philip, nephews and nieces and many friends home and abroad. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 9am at St Paul’s Bay parish church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to aid the Church in Need or the Renal Unit, Mater Dei Hospital, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CHIRCOP. On October 8, Dr CARMEL CHIRCOP of Birkirkara, aged 51. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maryrose, his son Kendrick and his fiancée Melanie, his mother Doris, his sisters Marthese and Sister Alexandra, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, October 17 at 8.15am for Valley Road, Birkirkara, from where the Duke of Connaught’s Own Band will accompany the cortege to St Helen’s Basilica where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at St George’s Cemetery, Qormi. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MELI. On October 13, at St Vincent de Paul residence, PAULINE of Qormi, widow of Carmel, aged 80, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Fr Joe Meli, Chaplain to the Armed Forces, Aldo and his wife Audrey, and Brian and his partner Lucienne, her grandsons Kurt and Aidan, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 1.45pm for St Sebastian parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

RIZZO. On October 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, PHYLLIS, née Dowdall, aged 84, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving children Colin and his wife Antoinette, Steve and his wife Grace, Carol and her husband Albert Dalli, Anna and her husband Ray Borg Grech, and Gillian and her husband Tony Attard, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Peter’s parish church, Birżebbuġa, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutions will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
