A group of six Croatian men who caused almost €6,000 in damage at various Paceville establishments during a brawl with a group of Serbs were remanded in custody this afternoon despite pleading guilty to the charges brought against them.

The men will appear in court against tomorrow for their punishment.

Ivan Janjetic, 21, Denis Danilovic, 25, Dalen Cekada, 25, Davor Andelkovic, 32, Marijo Homdak, 38 and Igor Valec, 26 pleaded guilty to wilful damage, smashing the windscreen of a car, having formed part of a group of 10 or more people with the intention of committing a crime, breaching the peace and hurling objects at the public.

Magistrate Josette Demicoli heard how the men were involved in a brawl with a group of Serbs in Paceville and began hurling tables, chairs, bottles and glasses at each other.

The sitting was postponed to tomorrow for judgment.
