The police have taken 775 children aged under 16 to court since 2008, figures given in parliament today show.

Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela said the charges includes homicide, theft, violence, rowdy behaviour, threats and personal violence, prostitution, abusive use of telephones, breach of traffic regulations, breach of smoking regulations, and littering.

He was replying to a parliamentary question by Silvio Schembri (PL).
