GRECH. On October 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINETTE, aged 67, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband George, her children Malcolm and Marisa and her husband Glenn, her grand­children Shaun, Liam, Craig and Karl, her brother Godwin and his wife Vicky, her brothers and sisters-in-law, their respective spouses, her nephews and nieces, all other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons Albert and his wife Carmen, Stephen and his wife Josette, his daughter Veronica, his grandchildren Cristina and her husband Anthony Demajo, Alexia and her husband Andrew Gingell Littlejohn, Alexander, Michela and her husband Albert Cilia, his great-grandchildren Zoe, Luke, Matthew and Paul, his sisters-in-law Gemma Callus and Pat Attard, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marlene, his children Simon and his wife Maggie, Christopher and his wife Rita, Stephania and Agostino, his grandchildren Kyle, Jean-Claude, Kelsey, Andre, Janice and Keona Marie, his brother and sisters, his in-laws, their respective spouses, children and other relatives and friends. VELLA. On October 11 at Karin Grech Hospital, MARIA IRIS, of Sliema, aged 88, widow of Polycarpe Vella, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Michael and his wife Monica, her daughter Evelyn and her husband Carmel Azzopardi, her grandson Ian and his wife Denise, relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. The Vella family would like to thank the consultant, their family doctor and the dedicated nursing staff at Karin Grech Hospital for their dedication and care shown to their mother during her stay followed by her demise at RW9 Ward. VELLA GERA. On October 10, BERNARDETTE, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her beloved husband Anthony (Tony), her dear children Alexander and his wife Helga, Anatole and his wife Stephanie, her adorable grandchildren Mikiel, Luca and Ġużè, her in-laws Walter and Ina Vella Gera, Kenneth and Theresine Portanier and Raymond and Marthese Meli, her nephews Mark and David, nieces, cousins, other relatives and numerous friends of whom one must mention Mariquita de Gabriele. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for St Joseph parish church, Msida where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. Mourners are kindly requested not to wear black attire as Ben disliked that colour. God, grant her eternal rest.
