The General Workers' Union said the Budget reflected economic growth and was beneficial to several sections of society.

It included many measures it had proposed and the government remembered the most vulnerable without forgetting the middle class.

Financial aims were also being reached and the created wealth would leave more money in people's pockets.

It said that some of the social measures introduced, including pensions, would help thousands of pensioners out of the risk of falling in poverty.

It encouraged the government to continue to create incentives for the manufacturing sector in future budgets and to focus more on sectors which added value to the economy.
