Carmel Sciberras writes:

On July 26, I lost a colleague and a friend. Marvic lost a loving husband and Philip and Jonathan lost a father and a doting grandfather of their children.

Medical students lost a dedicated teacher and a fair and just examiner.

The Maltese islands lost a well-respected and competent orthopaedic surgeon.

But Charles Grixti’s memory will not be lost.

The Association of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons of Malta will have his framed photograph hung in the orthopaedic seminar room at Mater Dei Hospital as a permanent memorial to one of its founder members.

Charles, it’s not adieu but au revoir.
