BORG. On October 9, at his residence in Pietà, ALFRED, 70, known as Puddy, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Giovanna, his children Michelle and Kevin, Rita and Ivan, John and Rita and Edward and Helen, his grandchildren Ryan, Ryden, Whitney, Shania, Glenn, Javier and Dale, his sister Lourdes and her husband Alfred, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves his residence tomorrow at 9am for Our Lady of Fatima Sanctuary, Guardamangia, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PODESTA – On October 4, ARTHUR E., at the age of 70, passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by his beloved fa­mily and comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after an illness bravely borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his treasured wife Kristine, née Pace, his precious children Maya and Sean, Aaron and his wife Mikela, Christoph and Daphne, his darling mother Laura, his dearest sister Patricia and her husband Chevalier William A. Cassar Torreggiani, his dear father-in-law Cecil Pace, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Rachel and Adrian Zammit Tabona, Ian Pace and Mandy, James and Margaret Pace, and Malcolm Pace, his nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends, and the sailing community. The funeral service was held last Wednesday at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex. The family would like to thank the reverend clergy who concelebrated Mass, the many who attended the touching celebration and all the kind expressions of sympathy. Merciful Lord, grant him eternal rest as he sails above.

RAUSI. On October 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALBERT, aged 94, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Albert and his wife Carmen, Stephen and his wife Josette and Veronica, his grandchildren Cristina and her husband Anthony Demajo, Alexia and her husband Andrew Gingell Littlejohn, Alexander, Michela and her husband Albert Cilia, his great-grandchildren Zoe, Luke, Matthew and Paul, his sisters-in-law Gemma Callus and Pat Attard. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

VELLA. On October 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL, of Valletta, aged 72, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marlene, his children Simon and his wife Maggie, Christopher and his wife Rita, Stephania and Agostino, his grandchildren Kyle, Jean-Claude, Kelsey, Andre, Janice and Keona Marie, his brother and sisters, his in-laws, their respective spouses, children and other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 7.45am for St Dominic parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant him eternal rest.
