The eighth edition of the Valletta Boat Show at Dock 1 in Cospicua, which was officially opened last Thursday, comes to an end today.

The newly refurbished Dock 1, which has hosted two consecutive editions in the past, was chosen as the ideal location for the event due to the beauty of its historic past.

The event, organised by MediaMaker Limited, a member of the Allied Group of Companies, has showcased the best the local yachting and maritime leisure industry has to offer.

Being at the watery crossroads of two continents, for centuries, Malta has witnessed war, peace and trade. This has made us a nation of sailors, meaning we can appreciate more the beauty of the wind billowing in full sail or pushing the throttle to hear the water rush by and feel the sea spray on our face. We then lower the sails, cut the engine and watch the sun going down in the bluest of waters.

Over 70 exhibitors, including the most prestigious names in the boating and yachting industry, are taking part in this year’s boat show.

Since this annual maritime exhibition started in 2007, it has maintained a steady growth, making it the country’s biggest boating event, dazzling and delighting over 20,000 visitors annually.

Today, the Valletta Boat Show compares well with other medium-sized European boat shows as it provides four action-packed days of fun and excitement for all ages.
