Hundreds of people this morning could admire sections of Fort St Angelo which were recently restored.

The historic fort is being prepared to host part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta next month.

Much work on the restoration of the fort still has to be carried out, but a Culture Ministry spokeswoman said the project is on track for completion in a month's time.

The fort is open to visitors until 5pm today (last admission 4.30pm).
