For the first time, a hit has been created with six covers performed by internationally successful cover artists. The usual procedure followed by the music industry has been given a new, original twist. Instead of creating covers from a well-known song, Pull&Bear has launched various versions of the hit Be More Barrio by Australian band Sheppard.

The project, born out of the brand’s collaboration with Spanish advertising agency SCPF and digital content production company Animal Maker, was launched in over 900 physical and online stores owned by the brand, as well as on digital video channels such as You Tube, You Ku and Vimeo and on musical platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and Deezer.

In this way, the brand brings together two of the values which best characterise it: normality and innovation.

The project is a thrilling journey where the fashion chain for young people seeks normality and universality in cafes, launderettes, grocery stores, and in the intimate conversations between neighbours.

It aims to show that, wherever one is, in Toronto, Sydney or Madrid, young people’s cosmopolitan lives share many common aspects. Neighbourhoods are understood as familiar, everyday and inclusive, a place where everyone belongs.

Sheppard has drawn inspiration from this journey throughout the world’s most genuine neighbourhoods to write the catchy song Be More Barrio. Covers have been performed and recorded by Boyce Avenue from Florida, Daniela Andrade from Toronto, Philipp Leon Altmeyer from Cologne, the Mexican group Vazquez Sounds from California, the Korean musical duo Jayesslee from Sydney and Dvicio from Madrid.

Each group has recorded their version in their own neighbourhood, showing that these are the areas that shape our personality.

Pull&Bear is part of the Inditex Group, which includes Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe.

The new collection is available at Pull&Bear outlets in Valletta, Sliema, and Paola.
