Eleven Maltese youths with a profile of dyslexia and 11 students from the Istituto Salesiano ‘Beata Vergine di San Luca’, Bologna, Italy, took part in an youth exchange project funded by the Erasmusplus Key Action 1.

The Maltese youths are involved in Dyslexic Teens Dialogue, an organisation that works to create awareness about dyslexia in schools, in other organisations and among the public, and in empowering students, their families and professionals who support them. The project participants enhanced their soft skills and engaged in cultural activities, workshops and presentations, and an exhibition and a website were set up.

A booklet, a leaflet and a video in English and Italian were also produced on how dyslexic students may be supported better at school and at home. The video may be viewed on You Tube.
