The 100th, Daniel Cilia a publication to mark photographer Daniel Cilia’s 100th book about the Malta, has been launched by the Salesians of Don Bosco (Malta). The book is edited by Fr Charles Cini.

The book contains a tribute to the photographer penned by Richard England and contributions by 42 authors who have worked with Cilia on his numerous books. The authors – Aaron Attard Hili; Emmanuel Azzopardi; Mgr John Azzopardi; Joseph Bezzina; Frances Bisell; Anthony Bonanno; Ray Bondin; John J. Borg; Austin Camilleri; Robert Cassar; Charles Cini; Amina Contin; John Cremona; Vicki Ann Cremona; Fra John Critien; Charles Dalli; Cynthia de Giorgio; Marquis Nicholas de Piro; Michael Ellul;Thomas Freller; Kenneth Gambin; Liam Gauci; Reuben Grima; Emmanuel Magro Conti; David Mallia; Giuzeppe Mantella; Joseph Muscat; Paul George Pisani; Mark Sagona; Marlene Saliba; Duccio Sante Guido; Katya Stroud; Sharon Sultana; Conrad Thake; Alex Torpiano; David Trump; Godwin Vella; Nicholas Vella; Olvin Vella; Isabelle Vella Gregory; Frank Ventura; Marion Zammit; and Vince Zammit – were all asked to choose one photograph from one of the books they had worked on with Cilia and write about it.

In the book, Cilia added other photographs, most of which are being published for the first time, related to his photographic book publishing career.

The hard-bound, all-colour book has 108 pages and was printed by Baroni e Gori, of Prato, Italy. The book is being released in a limited quantity print-run of only 450 numbered and signed copies and is available from the Salesians of Don Bosco.
