CURMI DIMECH. On October 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN of Ħamrun, widower of Laura, née Jones, aged 68, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Ruth, wife of Mario Bajada, Nadine, Sarah and her partner Jason Schembri and Simon and his fiancée Nakita, his grandchildren Kurt, Omar, Ismail and Laura, his sister and brother, Rosalie, wife of John Sultana, Adrian and his partner Anna Friesenegger, and Chessie, widow of his brother Henry, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund, Valletta, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GALEA. On October 7, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, Mother MARIA GALEA (former General Superior of the Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters), aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters of the Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters, her brothers Bro. Edward of De La Salle Brothers, and Arthur and his wife Inez, her sisters Connie and her husband Arthur, Evelyn, widow of Nazju, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2.30pm at Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Żabbar, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche Sisters, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

New sub-post office in Iklin
Maltapost has a new sub-post office in Iklin, offering postal services such as registered mail and the facility to pay bills.
A metal hand date-stamp inscribed with Iklin S.P.O. will be used at this sub-post office, situated in Ċensu Busuttil Street, Iklin.
It will be open Monday to riday from 7am to 12.30pm and from 4.15pm to 7pm.
On Wednesday and Saturday the sub-post office is closed in the afternoon.
