PODESTA. On October 4, ARTHUR E., at the age of 70, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after an illness bravely borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his treasured wife Kristine, née Pace, his precious children Maya and Sean, Aaron and his wife Mikela, Christoph and Daphne, his darling mother Laura, his dearest sister Patricia and her husband Chevalier William A. Cassar Torreggiani, his in-laws Rachel and Adrian Zammit Tabona, Ian Pace and Mandy, James and Margaret Pace, Malcolm Pace, his nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends, and the sailing community. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 2pm at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, or the Malta Community Chest Fund, Valletta, will be greatly appreciated. Merciful Lord, grant him eternal rest as he sails on.

Free coding courses

The eSkills Malta Foundation, in collaboration with Mcast, is organising a series of short coding courses to mark EU Code Week. These eight sessions are open to anyone who has basic computer skills and are free of charge.

Gaudeamus in concert

The Vilnius University Choir Gaudeamus will be performing at St Dominic Church, Rabat, on Sunday at 7pm. The concert is being held under the patronage of Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona. Entrance is free.
