Updated 11.33am - The Foreign Ministry said this morning that an adviser currently serving at the Consulate General in Sydney is being paid €28,420 annually and not every four months as it erroneously stated in reply to a Parliamentary question on Monday.

Salvino Giusti also gets an annual €59,261 Post Adjustment Allowance because he is serving in Australia. (A total package of €87,681 annually)

The Speaker of the House has been notified about the mistake.

Mr Giusti was engaged as a person of trust as of February 1 last year.

The information emerged in a reply to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Kristy Debono.
