Media and PR adviser Leslie Skipper is being paid €3,638 per month for consultancy work for the Office of the Prime Minister and various ministries, according to information given in parliament yesterday.

Data published in reply to a question by Kristy Debono (PN) shows 15 consultancies to the Office of the Prime Minister.

University Rector Prof Juanito Camilleri,  a consultant on the European Union, the Lisbon Agenda and the National Reform Programme was paid €4,744 per month between July and December last year and €4,994 per month between January and July this year. The contract has been in place since June 1, 2006.

Former One News journalist Ramona Attard gets €2,685 per month as consultant on the formulation and implementation of the communications strategy.

Former MP Franco Debono receives €1,416 per month as consultant on reform of the justice sector.

Carmen Sammut, a university lecturer on the media did slightly better, getting €1,731 per month for her consultancy work up to July 'on government's specific objectives'. The contract has since expired.

The other listed consultants are PL deputy leader Toni Abela (no payment), Rob van de Water (payment not listed), Dr Aaron Grech (€1,666 per month) Cyrus Engerer Sept to Oct 2014 €2,308 monthly, contract no longer in force);  Prof David Attard (€1,450 monthly);  Anton Sevasta (€1,180 monthly); SZA Law firm (€590 monthly); Nexia BT (€8,321); Dr Josette Sultana (€583 monthly); and Robert Musumeci 32 hours weekly on pay scale 4).
