The Mcast Entrepreneurship Centre provides students with opportunities to transform their creative and innovative ideas into profitable and sustainable business ventures

In preparation for the Euroskills Competition to be held in Gothenburg in 2016, the centre held a sales pitch competition for students across all Mcast Institutes. The prospective young entrepreneurs presented ideas through a sales pitch in front of a small panel of professionals.

AIM Solutions, formed by Manuel Gatt, Isaac Massa and Yasmine Amri, won the first prize. These students, reading for their B.Eng (Hons) degree at the Institute of Engineering and Transport - Mechanical Engineering, presented their idea entitled ‘The automated trailer hitching system’, which deals with an automated way on how trailer hitching can be affected.

Eric Flask, director for innovation and entrepreneurship at Mcast, said that while encouraging students to put forward their ideas, initiatives such as this competition bring out the entrepreneurial skills acquired throughout their education at the college.

The event was sponsored by ISL Ltd, local representatives of Skillsoft. The Mcast Entrepreneurship Centre aims to provide Mcast students and alumni with the opportunity to transform their creative and innovative ideas into profitable and sustainable business ventures.
