Immigration officers have been instructed to embark on a series of industrial actions from Monday by their union.

The government has failed to abide by its pledge to discuss the officers' structures, the General Workers' Union said in a statement. 

Therefore officers have been instructed not to answer phones, abide to a go-slow directive, to scrutinise in detail every passport and to open immigration booths 30 minutes late.
