A man who could not resist buying a cheesecake from a well-known Rabat pastizzeria ended up paying a hefty price to satisfy his taste buds as he was fined €250 today for breaching bail conditions.

Francis Cassar was charged today by Inspector Jonathan Ferris before Magistrate Joseph Mifsud.

He admitted he stayed outdoors beyond the stipulated time.

Sources said the police were anonymously tipped off about his presence.

The court warned him such behaviour in future would not be tolerated and imposed a €250 fine.
