The statue of Manuel Dimech was reinstalled in Castille Square this morning, after it was removed for a €1.6 million revamp of the new pedestrianised square.

The monument has been placed in front of St James Cavalier, slightly shifted from its original position.

The works on the square are set to be completed in time for November’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

The monument dedicated to former Prime Minister George Borg Olivier was put in place earlier this month.
