As works at the Bugibba/Qawra side of the Coast Road are reaching their final phases, extensive asphalting works in the Qawra/Bugibba/St Paul’s Bay junction are being planned for tonight, tomorrow night and all day on Saturday.

From 7pm this evening to 6am tomorrow and from 7pm tomorrow to 6am on Friday
The junction will be closed to all traffic. Drivers are urged to use alternative routes and avoid the area completely. Drivers who need to access the area around the junction should follow directions.

Saturday – From 5am to 1pm (northbound) and 8pm (southbound)
The junction will be closed to all traffic from 5am. It will reopen for northbound traffic at 1pm and for southbound traffic at 8pm.

Drivers are urged to use alternative routes and avoid the area completely. Drivers who need to access the area around the junction should follow directions.

Transport Malta reminded drivers that the speed limit on this road and adjacent to all road works varied between 30 and 40km/h. All motorists, it said, were obliged to follow signage and directions from the duty officers.
