Fort St Elmo will host a night of eclectic live music from some of Malta’s top bands as part of the 10th anniversary edition of this year’s Notte Bianca.

Following an extensive €15.5 million restoration of the fort, the public can now also enjoy a new War Museum within its walls. The National War Museum, which will be open to the public free of charge during Notte Bianca, houses a superb collection of items from prehistoric to contemporary times.

These are displayed in chronological order and start with the early phases of the Bronze Age around 2,500 B.C.

Perhaps the three most important icons of this museum are the Gloster Sea Gladiator N5520 FAITH, Roosevelt’s Jeep ‘Husky’ and Malta’s award for gallantry, the George Cross.

During Notte Bianca, from 9.30pm onwards, Fort St Elmo will be hosting Band Oħra, a night of eclectic music headlined by Beangrowers and also featuring Explicit, Infinite Loop, Angelcrypt, Forsaken, Marmalja and Plato’s Dream Machine.

On the granaries of Fort St Elmo, Team Maximum Lock will be taking their cars for a spin and showcasing a drifting / stunt experience - a first during Notte Bianca.

The Mediterranean Conference Centre will be hosting Opera u Għana, a collaborative music project presenting a fusion of two very distinct musical genres. The programme starts at 8pm.

Nearby, the sound of choirs will be gracing the newly restored late 16th century Church of St. Mary Magdalen. The programme of Korijiet tal-Madalena. will be performed by Simone Attard’s Children’s Choir, Enkor Choir and Joy Gospel Choir.
