Gozo General Hospital’s Health Promotion Unit has embarked on a pilot project aimed at changing children’s attitudes towards exercise. Entitled Exercise Programme for Overweight Children (EPOC), the project is being offered in collaboration with fitness instructors Franklin Grima, Karl Said, Emily Saliba and Joseph Cefai, who are offering the children the opportunity to take part in free 90-minute sessions of high-intensity exercise three times a week. Many of the exercises are fun games suitable for both children and adults.
