For the third consecutive year, HSBC’s Catch the Drop campaign worked with the government’s Skolasajf summer school programme, and used all its activities to make them more aware of the importance of water and the need to do everything possible to save this precious resource.

The campaign message is estimated to have reached 6,812 students in Malta and 696 in Gozo, with nearly 100 staff members from HSBC Bank volunteering in the programme.

For Skolasajf 2015, HSBC organised shows inspired by the movie Frozen and held a series of workshops, performances, experiments and quizzes on the theme of water.

In Gozo, HSBC helped fund a new viewing point on the site of Għar Ilma aqueduct and organised visits for Skolasajf participants.

The message of water conservation was echoed by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech, who, in a letter to Gozitan children, asked them to look after the environment and not to waste water.
