After undergoing heart surgery performed by Alexander Manchè in 1995, I underwent four angiograms and four angioplasty interventions over a period of over 20 years, all performed by Albert Fenech.
Fenech’s sterling service to countless satisfied patients, like myself, reflects not only his ability in his profession but also his sublime gentleness, making the patient feel at ease both during the intervention and at the follow- up stages.
Preventing him from operating at Mater Dei Hospital, by not extending his contract, is, in my opinion , a grave mistake. Such a wealth of experience would be thrown down the drain. No doubt, Fenech can still offer much to Maltese patients. He is a valid asset to Malta , even at his age, though he still adopts a ‘young attitude’.
I would like to join the hundreds of well-wishers and thank him for what I consider to be ‘near miracles’ in my regard, thus enabling me to continue living a normal life.
