Ivan Zammit is demanding a strong response from his Mosta players in tonight’s tough match against Birkirkara as they look to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to Sliema Wanderers.

“I expect a strong reaction from my players after our poor showing on Saturday,” Zammit told Times of Malta.

“We were in control in the first half but after the restart the players seemed to go off the boil and we ended up throwing away three points. Now we have a tough match against Birkirkara and there is no better opportunity for my players to produce the right response.”

Nigerian striker Saviour Fidelis is out with a head injury while Tyrone Farrugia and Manolito Micallef are doubtful after picking up knocks against the Wanderers.

Birkirkara are at full strength. Coach Giovanni Tedesco is expected to hand a recall to Malta midfielder Rowen Muscat who was rested in the 4-1 win over Pembroke.
