On the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Graces celebrated by the Capuchin Friars of Victoria, Fr Joe Libreri, Guardian of the Friary, blessed two new statues of St Anne and St Joachim made by Paul Aquilina of Victoria. The statues represent St Anne holding her daughter, the Virgin Mary by her side, while that of St Joachim is seen offering two white doves on the occasion of the presentation of the Virgin Mary in the temple. These statues were placed on pedestals to adorn the frontispiece of the sanctuary and are to be used yearly during the feast of Our Lady of Graces.
