• Only consumer complaints may be submitted before the CCT.

• This tribunal can give up to €3,500 in compensation and up to €500 for moral damages.

• The costs to open a claim before the CCT are minimal and vary according to the amount of compensation claimed.

• Both consumer and trader can state the facts of the case under oath.

• The CCT’s decision may be enforced just like a court judgment.

• The Office for Consumer Affairs may issue a public warning against traders who refuse to abide by the CCT’s decision.
